When a customer pays by card, the money goes straight into your own Stripe account. Stripe then pays it out to your bank. This guide shows you where to follow the money.
Steps
- Go to Payouts in the Settings section of the menu.
- At the top, see what is available now, what is still clearing, and how often Stripe pays out to your bank.
- Look at the payment journey. It shows each step: the customer pays, our fee is taken, the money clears, and Stripe sends it to your bank.
- Below that, see your total earnings, our platform fees, delivery costs, Stripe's actual fees, and what you received.
- Scroll down for every payment, one by one.
- If the numbers look out of date, press Sync.
- To match deposits to your bank statement, go to Reports, then Payout Reports.
- Choose a date range and open a deposit to see every order in it. Press Export CSV to check it against your bank statement.
Good to know
- Stripe pays out on the schedule set in your own Stripe account, not ours.
- Our platform fee is a small flat fee per order, not a commission. See Pricing for the current fees.
- Stripe charges its card processing fee to your Stripe account, so it is already out of what you see here.
- When a courier picks up a delivery, the courier's actual cost and any tip from the customer are collected. Tips go to the courier in full.
- Effective fee on Payout Reports is the share of your sales that went on fees.
- For order-by-order detail, see read your transactions report.
