You decide what your customers pay for delivery. It is your own fee, not a quote from a courier company, so you can set it to cover your costs and keep the difference.
Steps
- In the Merchant Portal, open Settings, then Order Management.
- On the Delivery tab, find Delivery Fee.
- Choose Flat fee to charge the same fee for every delivery. Type the fee.
- Or choose Distance tiers to charge more for longer distances.
- For tiers, set the distance each band covers and the fee for it. Press Add tier for another band.
- To offer free delivery, type the order total at which it starts. Leave it blank to turn free delivery off.
- Press Save at the bottom of the tab.
Good to know
- With tiers, the customer pays the fee for the first band that covers their distance. The last tier covers everything beyond it, so set its fee with your farthest customers in mind.
- Free delivery applies when the order total reaches the amount you set.
- The fee your customer sees at checkout is always your fee. They never see a courier's price.
- If you use on-demand couriers, the courier's actual cost comes out of your payout when the courier picks the order up. Set your fees to cover it. If a courier would cost more than the customer paid, you are asked before one is sent.
- Customer tips on courier deliveries go to the courier. Tips on pickup and your own deliveries stay with your store.
- Courier coverage depends on your area.
